The Food Collage
From our plates to the fields, our food choices affect the climate, biodiversity, our health and society. The Food Collage is a science-based, engaging and collaborative workshop to understand these challenges, explore solutions and take action together.
Our goal: help you understand and take action!
Because understanding is the first step towards action, the Food Collage helps individuals, businesses, associations and local authorities to:
- Understand the challenges facing our food system and its links to climate, biodiversity, health and society.
- Explore practical solutions for healthier, more sustainable food that is accessible to everyone.
- Take action, individually and collectively, by making commitments suited to your daily life or organisation.
Every week, we have 14 opportunities to make our food system more sustainable!
What happens during a Food Collage workshop?
Inspired by the approach of the Climate Fresk, the Food Collage is a collective-learning workshop grounded in scientific evidence. Over three hours, participants learn, discuss and explore solutions in a supportive, non-judgemental setting. The workshop has four stages:
- Icebreaker 15 minutes Introduction to the workshop, getting to know each other and sharing initial perspectives.
- Understanding the issues 1 hour 30 minutes Using cards, quizzes and games, explore our food system and its impacts on climate, biodiversity, health and society.
- Ways to take action 30 minutes Discover possible solutions and the connections between our food choices and wider systemic challenges.
-
Make a commitment!
